Share the Beat in Omaha Nebraska!

The James Redford Institute and the Nebraska Medical Center teamed up to present "Share the Beat!" on March 10, 2007. The Star-studded line-up included Tim McGraw, Phil Vassar, Rivers Rutherford, Alana Grace and celebrity host James Denton with appearances by James and Robert Redford.

Jamie Redford honored in Salt Lake City
On Saturday, February 4th, 2006, The National Kidney Foundation of Utah and Idaho and members of Utah’s Donate Life Coalition hosted a beautiful black tie gala to recognize outstanding efforts to promote the cause of organ donation and transplantation. Jamie Redford and JRI received the Gift of Life Award. Nancy Heigl and her daughter, Katherine Heigl, were honored with a special Volunteer for Life Award. Peter Graves, (from TV’s MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE series) was the evening's host and Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. of the 5th Dimension performed.

On October 9, 2004 in Provo, Utah, the world
premiere of James Redford's directorial debut Spin, written and Executive Produced by Donald
Everett Axinn, raised nearly $100,000 for The James
Redford Institute for Transplant Awareness (JRI). A
dinner in theSundance Tree Room with a special performance
by Rivers
Rutherford followed the premiere. A press

Gift of Life Donor Program, in
cooperation with the James Redford Institute for Transplant

young people about the importance of organ and tissue donation.
A special Educators Preview and Reception will be held Tuesday,
April 11 at 6:00pm at the Whitaker Center for Science and
the Arts in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Discovery Channel Canada has purchased the documentary The
Kindness of Strangers for Canadian broadcast in Spring,
2000.
The Kindness of Strangers has won a Silver Plaque in the Social/Political Documentary
category of the INTERCOM
Film and Video Competition.
